Turning the Clickbank Marketplace into a Comma Delimited File
I originally wrote a similar post on my other blog. This is the new, improved version of that Clickbank XML file transformation. That one missed all the subcategories. This one gets them, but throws all the new product into one new category. If anyone has time to fix that, I will post your fix here.
This is going to be a short and sweet post. I finally wrote a XSL stylesheet that transforms all the data from the Clickbank XML datafeed file into CSV. CSV is format more easily editable and importable for the not so tech inclined person. XSL stylesheets are generally used to turn XML into HTML pages. So here are the steps.
- Download the Clickbank Datafeed
- Extract it with Winzip, Winrar or 7zip. It comes in an .zip archive format.
- This will give you two files a DTD file and an XML file.
- Download this
to tranform the Clickbank XML. (right click and save as, it will open in your browser)
- Download XMLpad for free to do the actual work
The end result is that you will have all the Clickbank products in a CSV file that you can import into databases or open in spreadsheet software.

I have not thought if this idea. I sell a few clickbank products, but using this idea I could offer more opportunities to my visitors. I have a few questions. Does the feed update your CSV file automatically as new products are added to Clickbank or is this just a one time scrap of the data on Clickbank at the time of the import?
Interesting post you have there, I am just going to bookmark this for future reference.

Hi,
it is an interesting tool, but I would see it really used only on special cases, e.g. if you want build a tool with all Clickbank products.
I imagine that the average Clickbank user is not interested in a large database of opportunities, but prefers to select a few ones in a particular niche.
Best Regards
