Okay, I’m just playing now. But it is an experiment in how getting rank in search engines works. It would have been great if I actually wrote a good review of Google Snatch. Maybe I would have made some sales. I am currently ranked number 4 in Google for the phrase Google Snatch, a product ranked #2 in Marketing and Ads in the Clickbank Marketplace. Let’s look at the timeline.

• On October 3, I wrote the first post on Google Snatch, after I noticed it was hot. This gave me instant ranking of #1 because not many affiliates were writing about the product.

Yesterday, I wrote a post about Google Snatch, again. I pointed out a few websites in the Google results that I designated jackpot sites. These are sites that are free for anyone to sign up for, their domains rank high in the search engines, and new content is spidered relatively quickly. Using sites like these is the easiest way to start. It costs nothing except time. It is a place to get your feet wet and see if you like affiliate marketing. And it can make you pretty good money.

A few days ago, I said that Google Snatch was going to be the next new thing at Clickbank. I guess I was right. But now is time to have a good lesson on how to get your foot in the door when it comes to a hot product. Now is the perfect time. Search for Google Snatch and you can see where you need to be next time I announce a hot product. Take a look at some of the sites:

I started a new category today. "The Next Big Thing". Clickbank always has these coming down the pipe. It is sort of a tongue-in-cheek category because I am definitely a little skeptical about most products like this. Do I think they will make you money? Oh, for a week or two until everyone floods the search engines.
