Sneaky Little Clickbank Marketing Trick
August 23, 2007
I figured I would give this away, since I only used it once and haven’t seen anyone write about it yet. Plus it’s too much work for to add to my current workload. And as soon as enough people read this, the free ride will be over.
What makes it possible:
- Some of the vendors on Clickbank have custom downloads for your to give to your customers. They are trial versions of the software and they are embedded with your affiliate link.
- There are a lot of software download sites that use pad files for submitting software, hundreds.
- Mod Rewrite.
It is against the terms of most shareware sites to submit affiliate software as your own, but most don’t check submissions.
The steps:
- Get free PAD file creation software. You should find something pretty easily through Google. Fill in all the necessary data except for the download file location for now.
- Create an entry in the .htaccess file for one of your sites. This is necessary because the pad file download link has to be in either .zip or .exe format. Name the location of the file anything you want to such as myfile.zip. Redirect this link to the link to the Clickbank vendor’s embedded download. Then add that link to your PAD file.
- Submit your PAD file to any site that accepts PAD files.
Most of you should figure this out. If you can’t do some research. That’s what I did.
