Prosper202 - Adwords Tracking for Affiliates

August 4, 2008

Adwords is not really set up for affiliates. It is set up for "real" businesses. That was a joke. And I hope you all got it. If you have been in affiliate marketing long enough, you have probably heard about some of the annual paychecks of some affiliates. Yes, you can make more in affiliate marketing than in a "real" business and start making that money quicker, because you get paid for directing people with money to products for sale.

An Adwords is one of the tools you can use. Of course, the benefits of a third party tracking system are many. You know the value of each keyword you use. You know which ones work. You know which ones suck. And with time, you can increase you ROI dramatically. While I aim for a 100% ROI on my campaigns before I consider them a valuable campaign, I do have some that have up to a 1500% ROI. That means for every buck I spend on Adwords, I make $15.

There are a lot services out there you can pay for. The advantages to these is that you don’t have to get your hands dirty with most of the tech stuff. No uploading. No configuring. A third party deals with the server.

The advantages to having your own tracking is customization, if you know a little code and, of course, with software like Prosper202, cost. Prosper202 is absolutely free. and has recently been upgraded to include pixel and postback url tracking.

    Great review Stephan, Thanks!

I would love it if you could take a look at klikdeal affiliate tracking (http://www.klikdeal.com) and perhaps do a review too. It’s also free.

    Best
