People Do Buy Ebooks

Although you can make a lot of money by promoting Clickbank products and never even promote one ebook, people do buy the ebooks. I was amazed at some of the ebooks people do buy and wouldn’t have believed it if hadn’t sold them myself. This is one of the advantages to a mall type site. You make random sales you never expected and get new insights on what people will actually buy.
Forex
People that have randomly come to my site love ebooks on Forex. I have sold multiple Forex products. Never have too much luck promoting these ebooks through Adwords though. Too much competition. But people love money and although many don’t love the work involved in making it, they love the idea of a system that will bring it too them. But forex is rather complex and the only way to sound intelligent when promoting it is by coming an expert.
Natural Cures
People love being green. They love knowing they can affect their own health. It gives them power over their future. And some just don’t trust doctors. I have sold multiple products from Acne Cure ebooks to Premature Ejaculation ebooks.
Gardening Secrets
I have sold over 20 copies of an ebook that claims to give you the formula for the best compost in the world. And multiple copies of another that claims the same about fertilizer.
The Occult
Witchcraft, tarot readings, black magic, you name it, I have sold it.
Am I saying, jump on these categories and start selling right away. No. I am just trying to prove a point. Anything has a price. And once you put a price on it, some one will buy it. If you are the type of person who manages to weed through the spam and find anything you are looking for online, you may have a hard time believing this. I did at first. For every product I sold, most of the times I could find the information for free elsewhere. Does that make this type of selling unethical. I really doubt it. Bear with me and I will show you why.
When I sold products on Ebay, I used to have a motorcycle, an old Honda CB750. It is basically the Volkswagen Bug of motorcycles. It sold for years, there were millions made, and when they were hot, aftermarket products were everywhere. I spent a week finding info and places to buy the parts online. I didn’t use Google at the time. I used Webferret, a desktop meta search engine that pumped out 500 links at a time. I went through each one by hand.
At the end, I had a great list. I figured what the hell, I will sell it on Ebay. People loved it and I sold copies for over two years. Ebay eventually had issues with it, but the customer’s never did. I wasn’t selling a list. I was selling the work I did to create it in a time when search engines sucked (hint: they still do). People didn’t want to spend a week doing what I did. They just parted with their $10 and were happy.
So people do buy ebooks, because:
- They would rather have all the info, complete info, in one place, instead of having to hunt for it.
- They appreciate the time it took to compile the information.
- Priority mail will get you a book in 3 days. The internet will get you an ebook now.
- They want portable information. I used to have a bag of books I would carry around working on other people web sites. Now I have a laptop. My library is in there and searcheable en masse.
- People don’t have time to look and they want the information now.
Clickbank has close to 8000 products. You are bound to find something you can promote.
Great insight, and it is completely true, I used to have a mall type sight and sold wierd products I’ve never even heard of before out-of-the-blue, you never know what someone is looking for information on, and that is the key to it all…
Information sells, and an eBook is just that, information on a certain subject, just like buying a book from the book store without having to leave your home.
