PostHeaderIcon Niche Blog Theme, Posts, Categories and Tracking

To get started, I needed a Wordpress theme that had extra page templates without sidebars. This was hard to track down and I have created themes in the past, but I didn’t feel like it this time. These special pages will be the landing pages for my PPC campaigns.

I found the Super Affiliate Wordpress Theme from Profit Blogger. It takes some gymnastics to get it, but the theme saves you time and it’s free.

I will be using a page as my homepage on the blog, not the traditional home page. This way I have total control over where people go from the home page.

I am starting with products and am basically rewriting the sales pages and trimming them down a lot. I will be sending potential buyers to the sales page and don’t want them to get de ja vu. Another option is directly linking to the sales page.

This process has taught me a lot about the keywords that I will be using to create categories and posts that I will group around each product.

I will then use these keywords in Niche Browser for research. Niche Browser does a lot for a freebie. I will be doing a lot of looking in the forums and answer sites available for specific questions that people may ask. The results of this research will be used for both posts and article marketing.

My stumbling block right now is an adequate tracking system for keywords. I need it to grab the search engine hit when it comes in and follow the person around the site. This hit will be saved and given a unique id. This id will be appended to any Clickbank affiliate link on the site as it’s TID. But I have something in the works. I am modifying the landing sites plugin to do this for me.

And that’s where it’s at. Wish I could move faster, but I have other things going on at the same time. But as far as profit potential goes, this is my main focus.
