516 DoFollow Blogs
I think. I know the number is pretty close, but I could be off. There may be one or two duplicate feeds (i.e. I have one feed url from feedburner and one url from the blog). As some of you know, I recommend commenting on dofollow blogs to build more links to your site. A comment on a well-trafficked will bring you traffic from other people who read the post. But if the blog is dofollow you get that benefit and the link back to your site will help you with your ranking in the search engines.
One of the tools I use to find dofollow blogs is Fast Blog Finder. I have been using it for a while, so today I exported all the blog posts and then used software to get the feeds of all the blogs and came back with 516. I put these in my dofollow river on bloglot.
Updates at bloglot are pretty slow and incomplete, so I am thinking about giving away the OPML file of these feeds later on today or this weekend. This depends on the time I have, but I will be giving it away at my other blog. So check there and I will have the post up before Monday.
For those of you who don’t know what an OPML file is. It is simply the file that a feed reader would use to import and export feeds. You can import this file directly into any feed reader you use and it will keep you updated with the newest post from each of these dofollow blogs. I highly recommend FeedDemon as a feed reader. It’s the one I use and I put it through a workout. I now have a grand total of over 2000 feeds with the addition of these 500 new feeds. The key to dealing with this amount of feeds that may or may not be your cup of tee is using the Watches feature in FeedDemon. This will filter out only those topics you are looking to comment on.

I went and bought Fast Blog Finder on the back of this recommendation. Awesome. One suggestion for new bloggers – don’t hit as many blogs as possible. Find 5 – 10 sites of interest and post on them regularly – that way site owners will realise you’re contributing rather than spamming.
P.S relevant comments as well. Things like ‘You’re great’ or ‘Thanks’ simply don’t cut it!

I have also found FeedDemon to be a great tool. It’s a great way to organize your feeds.
I find dofollow blogs through Twitter sometimes (by typing “dofollow” into search.twitter.com).
