Keyboard Shortcuts For Entrecard

I am a slow Entrecard dropper lately, on again and off again. But out of the week, I am probably dropping 3 to 4 of the 7 days.

Lately, Entrecard has cracked down on speed dropping sites, banning users if they are caught with a speed dropping page. But a lot of people have fast loading sites, so I assume that they are just talking about the pages set up specifically for Entrecard.

I have tried speed dropping by loading 30 urls into either Opera or Safari at a time. Why did I choose these too browsers. Because they are fast. They are not loaded down with the other crap that Firefox or Internet Explorer has. It works. But you end up dropping on the same people all the time, which would be fine if they all were reciprocal droppers. But I can’t be one to bitch. I only reciprocate, like I said, 3 or 4 days out of the week. I always go to my Entrecard droppers feed first and try to catch the people from the days before.

I have tried the framed type dropping using either which works great if you are staring at your screen the whole time. I open 3 or 4 of the frames and jump from one to the other, bookmarking good posts at delicious as I go so I can come back and comment. I use a quick bookmarklet for delicious. I click it and it automatically tags the page "Entrecard" and makes it private. When I am done, I can go through the list.

Now what I do is a combination. I start with my dropper’s feed, hold Ctrl down, and click all the links. This makes them open in a new tab. Then I go check email, comments on blog, etc. This gives the pages a little time to load.

After that I use this combination.

1. Click the drop button.
2. Hold Ctrl down and click their advertiser (opens in new tab)
3. Hit Ctrl and W (this closes the current tab)

It’s fast. You can stop and comment if you want. And you end up expanding the people you drop on by using chain dropping also. It’s what works for me now. Hopefully it helps.
