Why would they be controversial? Everyone has their gimmicks. Just because you see a loophole and exploit it, does that make it controversial. Must have some good content though. I had someone search for it by name and buy it from my site a few minutes later.

The page itself could be better though, even for “internet marketing” standards. But in my mind, there are levels of internet users. I don’t think a page like this will sell to the YouTube, MySpace, Facebook crowd, but for every kid out there who was weened on the internet, there are 40-80 newbies out there.

There are people out there whose exposure to internet technology involves Google and bulletin board type forums. A page like this will work.

But I know there has to be a movement from the sales page type site. Yes, the internet once modeled a newspaper. Now with YouTube and others, the internet has become the computer and is slowly replacing TV for many users. I am not saying that the text part of the internet is over, but when you’re selling something, a page with something more than a sales letter may add to that conversion rate.
