The guy has a point. I recently sold a car on Craigslist just to give it a try. I got three calls the first night, on within an hour of listing. Now if I just had put the car on the corner and written the price on it with window markers, I would never have sold it. One of the calls I got was from Colorado who was willing to ship it and still pay the price I had it listed for.

Yes, you might be able to get the same type of sales through Ebay, but I have experienced Ebay Motors. I sold a motorcycle or rather tried to sell a motorcycle through Ebay and it never sold at the undervalued price. In Ebay, you have one winner and if he backs out, you can beg the number two winner at his top bid price. With Craiglist, you can examine past listings and then set your price and have multiple people responding. I eventually sold my motorcycle to some random guy I met for $200 more than the top bid on Ebay.

So if you take the potential of a site like this and use it to sell products, whatever they may be, you have a great business model.
