If I can stay on one server long enough, I will continue this thing. But I have had issues with that lately. And after doing all the tech stuff, writing becomes harder. But back on track. You have chosen a few products to promote on your blog and written some content. Promotion must start from day one, although some tactics and method will only work after your blog has more of a presence.

I am building a few niche blogs currently. I am still building product pages. At first and up to about a week ago, I copied and pasted the whole sales page into whatever blogging software I was using and then trimmed that content down. This took a long time and had me stalling, because I really hated to wade through all that information, so productivity dropped dramatically on the new blogs.

I don’t know if you have ever heard about Hamlet Batista. If you haven’t, you are not alone. We, as bloggers, tend to like visibility. But some of the biggest money makers online are not visible. They don’t need to be. They build sites, optimize them for search engines and remain invisible. They don’t have to worry about posting every day, their Technorati rank or whether they have a lot of subscribers. They don’t have to. But they do make lots of money. I used to do this. Not the “lots of money part”. I have made decent money on the internet for over four years now, more than I would from any job a person without a degree can get, but definitely not lots.

To get started, I needed a WordPress theme that had extra page templates without sidebars. This was hard to track down and I have created themes in the past, but I didn’t feel like it this time. These special pages will be the landing pages for my PPC campaigns.

I found the Super Affiliate WordPress Theme from Profit Blogger. It takes some gymnastics to get it, but the theme saves you time and it’s free.

I will be using a page as my homepage on the blog, not the traditional home page. This way I have total control over where people go from the home page.

Why?

I got a little bit ahead of myself announcing this plan for one. I didn’t realized that I would be involved in so many other things at the same time. There just wasn’t the time to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. And by the time I did have time, I realized that some of the pieces were missing.

There are plenty of niche blog plans out there. And I have pulled some information from a bunch of them for my own use. I am not going to lie. But the main concept is still different. I really had no idea how to get started and spent way too much time planning instead of just jumping.
