PostHeaderIcon Mapping Your Niche With Wikidpad

First I have to give props where props are due. I ran into WikidPad via other users at Wakoopa. I played around with it a bit and then forgot about it. Then I ran into this post about using WikidPad to organize your keywords.

And something clicked. I had been using a folder with various reports and text files in it to store the information about the blogs I’ve been building. But it was a mess. I tried mind maps and they became overwhelming in the end. So I gave WikidPad a try. I just started with keywords.

I tend to see ebooks as noise reducers. Yes, you may get the same information for free somewhere. And free is always better. In fact you may get a lot more information free than you would from an ebook and that’s value. Or is it?

There is value in information but there is more value in the right information. You don’t want to read the entire encyclopedia in order to learn about Anteaters. And that’s what good ebook author’s do for you. They sift through all the info and tell you, “I tried this and this and this and they all worked.” Plus with a price tag on the product, there is a reputation to maintain and customer service. Yes. To some extent. But when you are faced with a list like that, at least when I am, I freeze. Too many options gives you no clear place to start. And I promise, that list is only a start. I have used some of the methods and know what has worked for me. And some of the methods are based on your blog as a whole while others focus on posts. And some methods are good to use when you start a blog and others will only work after your blog has at least a little bit of a presence online.

If I can stay on one server long enough, I will continue this thing. But I have had issues with that lately. And after doing all the tech stuff, writing becomes harder. But back on track. You have chosen a few products to promote on your blog and written some content. Promotion must start from day one, although some tactics and method will only work after your blog has more of a presence.
