What is a WordPress landing page theme?

Your run of the mill WordPress theme has one template for pages which makes every page on your blog look basically the same, with the same layout, sidebars, colors and look. But it is possible to create more than one page template for a WordPress theme.

A landing page theme has one or more page templates set up to be a landing page for PPC or other advertising sources. Landing pages have a purpose and that purpose is to make a sale or get a lead. There are many ways to make a web page do this better. One is by removing all distractions to the page’s goal.

I use Adwords to promote affiliate programs. It’s not all I use though. By using SEO first, I get an idea of what will work for advertising and then I attack. Because rank via SEO is harder to keep than rank that I paid for. But rank via SEO is cheaper and gives you an idea of what keywords are valuable to you.

But when you use advertising, you have time and you have credit limits. And your credit limit is your bankroll, stealing a term from poker which I used to be interested in but found the process too slow for making real money and keeping me interested.

I said before that I collect words. I collect lists of them. These are lists that are useful for mixing with other keywords. I called them parallel keyword lists. And they can save you a lot of money when you use them to create combinations with the main keywords of your campaign. Enjoy! I have more. Just have to track them down.

Debt sucks. Debt sucks bad. I am in debt now, but it has been worth. I went through a phase almost a decade ago where I was so deep in debt, I didn’t care. I just looked for the next credit card application to come in the mail so I could fill it out. By the time that no one would give me any more credit, I owed over $35,000 and really had nothing to show for it.

My method of dealing with it. Stop paying. Move to another state. Wait 7 years. It works, but not having credit for that long sucks.

Some Clickbank vendors let you try their software before you buy it and that’s a good thing. Nothing sucks worse than paying for something first and then not getting what you want. Clickbank will refund your money on any purchase but who wants to go through that hassle. It’s much better to download the software, check it out and then decide to buy. Forget the sales copy. The software can speak for itself.
