If you are actually leaving real comments, which now occurs only about 25% of the time on my blogs to tell you the truth. The type of comments that make the blogger come in a reply, like this one. I don’t think there is ideal number of comments, just whatever works.

I’ve recently been trying Comment Kahuna. I know about fast blog finder and will be testing it today. So far I haven’t been impressed with Comment Kahuna. But it may be that the do-follow blogging state of mind has not quite hit the internet in full yet. Still a lot of bloggers that are unaware of the luv that comes from Google when you allow your blog to have the do-follow type comments.

What I try to do, sounds obvious but, is try to find blogs where you might get that lovely backlink BUT you’ll actually learn something new. If you spend a few minutes reading some good blogs everyday you’ll likely pick up a few tricks. If you find a good blog keep returning.

You are right regular commenting pays a lot because people know you, it also help to clear the moderation system until and unless you spam them. Being top commenter on some blogs can boost like popularity also.
