Clickbank Instant Notification
Clickbank is strange that way. Everyone else would have called it an API. But it seems now that you can have sales notifications sent to a url specified by you. It uses a POST function.
Here is how it works:
- An action occurs in the ClickBank system (ex sale, rebill, refund, etc)
- ClickBank posts FORM parameters to a URL you specify
- ClickBank observes the server response
- A program you build processes the variables
This works right into my idea for a tag based contextual Clickbank widget. It would have to adjust itself based on sales and click through rate. Instant sales notifications would make that possible.
Joana’s Guide Case Study Part 2
When I started promoting this product, I really had no idea what World of Warcraft is. And to tell you the truth, I have never even played or been to the site. I picked up a few things from the sales page for the product. Jargon. Everything has it’s jargon and you have to learn a little of it.

Google To Enforce AdWords URL Policy Starts April 1st
Official: Google To Enforce AdWords URL Policy Starts April 1st
I hate Google. Why? Because I have been following this policy since it went into effect. I watched as other affiliates skated around it. Now they want to start enforcing it. Google:"Okay guys, we made this rule, but it wasn’t really a rule. You can break it if you want. Just don’t tell anybody. We will make it a real rule later."
A policy is not a policy unless it’s enforced, assholes.
