I created my first Squidoo lens today and after seeing the format and the methods of promotion available, I can’t wait to get started on 50 more. Those that seem to do well will become the subject of new sites. Everyone knows enough about a few subjects to fill one page. It’s a great system and it’s your ability to provide useful information that get’s you hits there. There are many newbies, so things that may seem like common knowledge isn’t and if you know a subject well, the traffic will come, wikth a little work, of course. The lense is called Clickbank Affiliate School and after I got so far, I realized I only needed to provide a small chunk in each lense, so I guess the first one will be a hub, for the newest of the newbies who have never heard of Clickbank.

Recently I received an email from Clickbank stating that one of my accounts was scheduled for deletion due to an email from a vendor. The vendor’s id was soccerfr. He complained that my site outranked his for his main keywords. On this basis and the fact that I have "clickbank" in my domain they cancelled my account.

He claimed that I stold his top ranking for the keyword "soccer drills". Well I am no where near the top and neither is he. From what I can tell, he caused his own problem. Doing a backlick check on Google, he must have done some sort of no-no. And when this happened he lashed out and took it out on me. But the fact is that Clickbank allowed it.

I figured I would give this away, since I only used it once and haven’t seen anyone write about it yet. Plus it’s too much work for to add to my current workload. And as soon as enough people read this, the free ride will be over.

What makes it possible:

1. Some of the vendors on Clickbank have custom downloads for your to give to your customers. They are trial versions of the software and they are embedded with your affiliate link.
2. There are a lot of software download sites that use pad files for submitting software, hundreds.

Affiliate marketing has changed a lot about my life. In fact, it has made my present life possible. Do I live in a mansion and drive a Ferrari? No, not yet. And most of the people that claim that they accomplished this in three months are either lying about some of the details or need to lay off the crystal meth. Affiliate marketing takes some work and some areas of it are highly competitive. But the more you know, the easier it gets. And the more you do it, the more you know.
